Fire at Saki Thermal Power Plant in occupied Crimea after night attack

A fire broke out at the Saki Thermal Power Plant in Russian-occupied Crimea after a night shelling, according to satellite data and Telegram channels.

A fire has erupted at the Saki Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in Russian-occupied Crimea following a night shelling. The news was reported by the "Crimean Wind" Telegram channel, citing satellite imagery data.

According to the channel, the fire is observed near fuel storage tanks. The Saki TPP came under attack during the night. Within an hour, 16 explosions with flashes were recorded, and smoke was seen.

The Saki Thermal Power Plant has an electrical capacity of 149.4 MW and a thermal capacity of 138 Gcal/h. It serves as the primary heat energy producer for the city of Saki.

Previously, the UK intelligence community analyzed a series of Ukrainian strikes on occupied Crimea and noted Ukraine's expanding capabilities to strike the Crimean Bridge.
