Seniors' schools in Latvia are beginning their new academic year in October. These schools offer educational opportunities for older residents. While pupils went back to school in September, seniors start a month later.

This autumn, 25 new schools are joining the seniors' schools already operating in Latvia. They have received support from the Society Integration Foundation (SIF), a fund that backs projects aimed at social cohesion and public involvement.

Valmiera Municipality

Two of the new seniors' schools will operate in Valmiera Municipality. Classes will also take place at the Northern Vidzeme Seniors' School, which opens its new academic year in October.
