Nous Research Raises $90 Million at $1.5 Billion Valuation
AI startup Nous Research has closed a $90 million Series B round at a $1.5 billion valuation. It is also launching "Hermes for Businesses", an enterprise offering built on its open-source agent.

Nous Research, the developer of the open-source Hermes agent, has confirmed that it completed a $90 million Series B round, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. The announcement matches what TechCrunch had reported earlier.
Robot Ventures led the round. Other participants included Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung and 1789 Capital, where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner. With this deal, the three-year-old startup's total funding stands at $158 million.
Popular among developers
The Hermes agent is widely used by developers and individual users. By the company's own estimates, it has been cloned more than 24 million times and accounts for roughly 2.5% of global AI token usage.
Move into the enterprise market
The new capital will support Nous Research's expansion into the enterprise sector through a product called "Hermes for Businesses". It lets companies deploy customized AI agents that can handle multi-step workflows while keeping their data private and secure.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Nous had annualized revenue of about $36 million by mid-September 2026. The company expects to exceed $100 million before the end of 2026.
