Leaked renders show smart home devices Apple and LG reportedly built together
A well-known leaker has posted renders and specifications of a smart lock, thermostat and temperature sensor said to be co-developed by Apple and LG. An official reveal is expected next week.

Images and technical details have surfaced online for devices that Apple and LG have reportedly developed together. An earlier report said the two companies were working on several smart home products, with an official unveiling expected next week. Now a reputable leaker, posting as pdfu, has shared renders and some specifications.
Smart lock
The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock has a keypad that rotates to open the lock. According to the leak, it supports automatic unlocking and tap to unlock, and includes integrated emergency power and master codes. It reportedly ships with two mechanical keys. An included swivel pin can limit rotation on one side so the keypad does not touch a wall.
Thermostat and sensor
The LG Smart Thermostat is circular, with settings for humidity, brightness and language. Its design resembles many other smart thermostats.
The LG Temperature Sensor measures both temperature and humidity. It has a magnetic back for attaching to metal surfaces, and comes with an adhesive metal plate for mounting on other surfaces. It uses a replaceable battery and provides replacement alerts.
What else may be coming
These may not be the only products. Reports suggest Apple and LG are also working on a video doorbell, an indoor camera, an outdoor camera and a floodlight camera. All of the devices will reportedly launch under the LG brand rather than as Apple products.
