Next year's Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Burgas, Bulgaria

The Eurovision Song Contest will mark its 71st anniversary in May 2027, with Bulgaria set to host the event. The competition will be held in Burgas, a city on the Black Sea coast.

Bulgaria earned the right to host next year's contest after its representative, Dara, won this year's Eurovision. Under the contest's long-standing tradition, the following year's edition is organized by the country whose entry won the previous competition.

The exact schedule for the 2027 contest has already been announced. The first semi-final will take place on May 11, the second semi-final on May 13, and the grand final, which will determine the next winner, is planned for May 15.

Burgas will therefore become the temporary home of Eurovision next year, welcoming delegations, performers and fans from participating countries. The city will need to prepare for three major concert evenings in mid-May, drawing attention from audiences across Europe and beyond.

Bulgaria's win this year, secured through Dara's performance, gave the country the right to organize next year's international music event. The contest will be a significant occasion for both Burgas and Bulgaria as a whole, as they prepare to welcome guests from many countries along with extensive international media attention.
