Iris Exhibition «Īrisi 2026» Opens at the National Museum of Natural History
An exhibition called «Īrisi 2026» has opened at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History, featuring about a hundred iris varieties. Breeder Laimonis Zaķis notes many novelties this year, including varieties named only a few days ago.

The Latvian National Museum of Natural History has launched the exhibition «Īrisi 2026», showcasing approximately one hundred different iris varieties. The display includes both well-known and brand-new cultivars, such as «Akvarelis», «Medus kūka», and «Trejdancis».
Breeder Laimonis Zaķis, who contributed to the exhibition, highlighted that this year features many previously unseen specimens. Some varieties received their names just a few days prior. The exhibition is open to visitors in the museum's usual space.
