Meta brings Threads to Quest VR headsets
Meta has released a Threads app for its Meta Quest virtual reality headsets, extending the social platform's reach into VR. The app carries over most of Threads' core features.

Meta announced on Tuesday that it has launched a Threads app for Meta Quest virtual reality headsets, available for download through the Meta store.
The release follows last month's rollout of Threads on Meta's Ray-Ban Display augmented reality glasses, as well as recent news that the platform has surpassed 500 million monthly active users.
A fairly complete experience
The new VR app appears to offer much of what users expect from Threads. According to Meta, people can browse their feeds, create posts, like and reply to posts, visit user profiles, search, and watch videos within the app.
Meta said the app was designed to make using VR more social. The company noted that users could follow conversations while gaming, discuss the latest TV show or album with friends, or make quick check-ins between daily tasks, all through a dedicated native app.
The launch marks another step in Meta's effort to weave Threads into its broader hardware lineup, spanning mobile devices as well as its augmented and virtual reality headsets.
