Meta opens early access sign-ups for new Muse features

Meta has begun accepting requests for early access to new features of its Muse AI app. The company announced the program on Friday, a week after unveiling a range of new Muse capabilities at its Connect 2026 developer conference.

To request access, users can follow a link Meta posted on X containing a ready-made prompt to send to Muse. Alternatively, they can simply copy and paste the text: "Can you let the Muse team know I want to be part of the Muse early access program?" Doing so registers the user's interest in joining Meta's early access program.

A different approach to testing

Companies typically test new features with randomly selected user groups to gather feedback and measure results. Meta is taking a different route this time, seeking out AI enthusiasts who want to try the new features first. This approach could help the company stay ahead of competitors, since this group tends to use multiple AI apps and agents and has a strong understanding of the market.

What's coming

At Connect 2026, Meta teased several new Muse features. These include a digital avatar users will be able to video chat with, an expansion of shopping partnerships and connectors, and an upgraded Muse Mac app that will soon be able to use a user's computer to complete various tasks.

Meta also said Muse will be coming to its lineup of AI glasses, allowing users to interact with the assistant simply by speaking a wake word and then issuing a command.
