Two women dash onto runway at Moscow airport trying to catch a departing plane
At Sheremetyevo Airport, two passengers who missed their flight breached the restricted airfield area and tried to stop an already-moving aircraft on foot. Airport staff quickly halted operations and the women were handed over to Russia's FSB.

An unusual incident was recorded at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport after two women who had missed their Aeroflot flight tried to physically stop the aircraft as it was already being pushed back from the gate.
Rather than returning to the terminal to rebook their tickets, the women ran straight onto the airport runway, apparently hoping to catch up with the moving plane on foot. Footage captured by witnesses shows the pair running across the tarmac while carrying their suitcases, with one of them waving her arms in an attempt to get the attention of the pilot or crew.
How they reached the runway
According to local media, both passengers had arrived at the airport too late to board their flight. Because they had already passed through security screening, they managed to find a way into the airfield's restricted zone, an area normally inaccessible without proper clearance.
Response and outcome
Runway staff spotted the two women near the aircraft and immediately suspended all related operations. The women were detained and escorted back to the terminal, where they were handed over to officers of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) for further proceedings.
