The Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM) opened an exhibition on August 13 dedicated to the 100th birth anniversary of renowned Latvian exile artist Raimonds Staprāns. The exhibition is titled "Raimonds Staprāns. The Architecture of Silence."

Works never before seen in Latvia

Visitors to the exhibition can explore the artist's work through pieces that have not previously been accessible to audiences in Latvia. The display traces the development of Staprāns' creative path and the various stages of his artistic career.

Raimonds Staprāns belongs to the generation of Latvian artists who continued their creative work in exile outside Latvia while maintaining ties to Latvian culture. The exhibition's opening at LNMM marks a significant occasion, allowing audiences in Latvia to become better acquainted with his legacy in the context of his centenary.
