Lithuanian drone unit aimed at offence, not defence – military chief
Lithuania's military chief said the newly formed ANBO drone unit is designed for offensive capabilities, with a vision to reach Minsk and Moscow.

Lithuania’s military chief, Raimundas Vaikšnoras, stated on Thursday that the newly created ANBO drone unit is intended for offensive operations, not defence. In an interview with LRT RADIO, he explained that the unit's goal is to be able to reach Minsk, with a long-term vision of reaching Moscow. These capabilities will complement the American HIMARS batteries, which are designed for ranges exceeding 300 kilometres. Vaikšnoras emphasised that everything is focused on the deterrence effect being built together with allies during peacetime. The Lithuanian armed forces announced the establishment of ANBO on May 27, stating that the unit will consolidate the military's drone capabilities in one place.
