Latvian company "Brīvais vilnis" acquires Estonian fish processor "Saare Kala Tootmine"
AS "Brīvais vilnis" has completed the acquisition of Estonian fish processing company "Saare Kala Tootmine", making an initial payment of 200,000 euros.
Estonian fish processing concern "PRFoods" has announced that, through its subsidiary "Saaremere Kala", it has finalized the sale of "Saare Kala Tootmine" to Latvian joint-stock company "Brīvais vilnis". As part of the transaction, "Brīvais vilnis" has already made a first installment of 200,000 euros. This move is part of "PRFoods" strategy to restructure its assets, while for "Brīvais vilnis" it expands its operations in fish processing in the Baltic region. The exact purchase price and other terms of the deal have not been disclosed. "Saare Kala Tootmine" is a well-known fish processing company in Estonia, and this acquisition strengthens the Latvian company's presence in the neighboring country.
