Latvia's goods exports grew 18.6% in June

Latvia's foreign trade turnover totaled 3.87 billion euros in June 2026, up 16% in actual prices compared with the same month a year earlier, according to preliminary data from the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

Exports outpaced imports

The strongest growth came from goods exports, which rose 18.6% year-on-year in June. Imports also increased, though at a somewhat slower pace, growing 14.1% compared with June of the previous year.

Because export growth outpaced import growth, this points to a relative improvement in the trade balance, although the CSB has not yet released a breakdown by specific goods categories or main trading partners.

The CSB notes that the published figures are preliminary and may be revised in the coming months, as is typical for foreign trade statistics.
