On Wednesday, March 18, the National History Museum of Latvia hosted a special media tour to preview its new exhibition 'Flowing Through Time' (Straumējot laiku). The exhibition's concept and content development started in 2021 under the leadership of museum director Dr. hist. Toms Ķikuts, involving specialists from various fields including researchers, collection keepers, and restorers.
In 2023, a competition and design project were carried out, followed by the technical design in 2024. Last year, the procurement for the exhibition's construction took place and installation began. The core theme of the exhibition is how the Baltic region's history has shaped Latvia today, presenting a narrative of temporal flow through historical artefacts.
Although media representatives had only an hour to view the exhibition, the museum encourages visitors to spend more time to fully appreciate the depth of the display.
