The Latvian National Theatre has begun its 108th season as the company gathered following the summer break. During the meeting, theatre leadership presented the troupe and staff with plans for the upcoming theatrical cycle.

Audiences can look forward to seventeen new premieres in the coming season, a wide range of new productions with which the theatre aims to delight its public.
Season's theme
This season is being held under the thematic motto "Free Winds," which sets a shared direction for the new repertoire.
Best of last season honoured
On the first day the company reconvened after their holidays, awards were also presented, recognising the best actors of the previous, 107th season, as well as the best production of that season.
