Latvia's women's 3x3 basketball national team, featuring Ieva Korzāne, Paula Mauriņa, Digna Strautmane and Karlīne Pilābere, won two games on Saturday at the Baku World Series tournament, earning a place in the quarterfinals.

Win over Germany

Seeded sixth in Group C, the Latvian team opened with a 14:9 victory over Germany, which entered the event seeded third. Mauriņa led Latvia's scoring with six points, while Strautmane added five points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Korzāne contributed three points and four rebounds.

Second win against Egypt

In their second group game, the Latvian players defeated Egypt, seeded 13th, by a score of 12:9. This time Strautmane was the top scorer with six points and 11 rebounds. Mauriņa finished with four points and seven rebounds, while Korzāne added two points and five rebounds.

With two wins from two games, Latvia's team secured its place in the tournament's quarterfinal round, scheduled for Sunday.
