Astronomers have described this eclipse as one of the most impressive celestial events of recent years. At its peak, the Moon will cover up to four-fifths of the Sun's diameter, producing a pronounced partial eclipse effect.
A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon, in its orbit around Earth, moves partly between Earth and the Sun without fully covering it, unlike during a total eclipse. Since this eclipse coincides with the approach of sunset, observers are advised to find a spot with a clear view of the western sky.
