Lamborghini's flagship Revuelto gets a faster, lighter SV upgrade
Lamborghini has unveiled the Revuelto SV, a more powerful and lighter version of its hybrid V12 flagship supercar. The new model is expected to start at around $750,000.
Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has revealed the Revuelto SV, an enhanced version of its flagship hybrid V12 supercar. Alessandro Farmeschi, product line director for the Revuelto, explained that the brand wants drivers to feel united with the car, fully immersed in acceleration, braking, and G-forces while driving.
The "SV" designation stands for "Superveloce," or "superfast," a name Lamborghini first used on the 1971 Miura SV and later applied to top versions of several flagship models.
Performance upgrades
The Revuelto SV keeps its 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors, but total output rises to roughly 1,050 horsepower — about 50 hp more than the standard Revuelto. This comes courtesy of a revised battery pack with 7.3kWh more capacity, designed to deliver more consistent performance during hard driving rather than just a higher peak figure. Transmission shift times have been cut by 30 percent, while extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the body and cabin has trimmed weight, improving the power-to-weight ratio to 1.66 kg per horsepower.
A new front bumper and rear wing increase downforce by 80 percent, improving stability through corners. As a result, the Revuelto SV accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, matching the limited-edition Fenomeno. The car also gets a new braking system with larger, thicker discs for improved cooling and stronger stopping power.
Lamborghini is also introducing a new "Pilota" driving mode, adapted from its GT racing program, letting drivers choose from five levels of stability-system sensitivity. The SV can travel roughly 15 kilometers on electric power alone, useful in areas with restrictions on combustion engines.
Lamborghini has not yet announced official pricing, but with the standard Revuelto starting around $612,000, the SV is expected to start at roughly $750,000 before options.
