Russian strikes on three Ukrainian regions leave 2 dead, 16 injured

Russian attacks on Donetsk, Kherson and Odesa oblasts killed two people and injured 16 others on 16 August, also damaging several residential buildings.

Russian forces struck three Ukrainian oblasts — Donetsk, Kherson and Odesa — on 16 August, killing two people and injuring 16 others, according to regional military administrations.

Donetsk Oblast

In Donetsk Oblast, an attack on Raihorodok killed one person. Six more were injured: two in Sloviansk and one each in Druzhkivka, Iverske, Maiaky and Kurytsyne.

Kherson Oblast

In Kherson Oblast, one person was killed and nine others were injured. Six apartment blocks and 12 private houses were damaged, along with a shop, agricultural machinery and vehicles.

Odesa Oblast

In Odesa Oblast, Russian forces attacked Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi on the morning of 16 August, damaging the facades and windows of three five-storey residential buildings. Early reports indicate one person was injured there.
