Ukraine's Security Service, in cooperation with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has uncovered systematic cyberattacks by Russian intelligence services targeting officials, military personnel, politicians, and activists from Ukraine, Europe, and the United States. The goal is to gain access to confidential military, political, and economic information as well as steal personal data.

Hackers employ various methods, such as sending SMS messages purportedly from "support groups" to trick users into revealing passwords. These activities are disguised as official bot operations, and messages are often sent early in the morning when users are not fully alert.

The service warns that attacks affect not only organizations but also private individuals in Ukraine. Citizens are urged to follow basic cybersecurity practices: regularly check active sessions, enable two-factor authentication, use complex passwords, avoid clicking suspicious links, and refrain from opening files from unknown sources. Particular caution is advised regarding QR codes sent by unfamiliar users.
