Man killed as Russian drone strikes spark fires in Kyiv
Overnight Russian drone strikes hit two non-residential buildings in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district on September 27, sparking fires. Rescuers found a man's body while extinguishing one of the blazes.
A man was killed overnight on September 27 after Russian drones struck Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS).
One drone hit set fire to a single-story building housing a car service station. Rescuers managed to stop the flames from spreading to a nearby food service establishment, and the fire was put out around 3 a.m.
At another location, a drone struck a non-residential building. While extinguishing that fire, rescuers discovered a man's body inside. This blaze was also brought under control.
The emergency service noted that earlier the same night, a Russian drone strike had also caused a fire at a warehouse building in the same district.
