Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, announced that Russia is expanding its military infrastructure within Belarus. He noted that both training grounds and bases capable of housing personnel are being developed.

However, no increase in attack groups or additional troops and equipment has been detected near the Ukrainian border. According to Demchenko, a certain number of soldiers have been stationed in Belarus since 2022 and are periodically rotated. Currently, one unit is being replaced by another.

The Ukrainian official emphasized that the country's task is to enhance its defensive capabilities and be prepared for any scenario. Demchenko added that Russia's influence over Belarus remains strong and the development of military infrastructure indicates potential threats to the region.
