Russia strikes Sumy with long-range weapons, one person injured
Russian forces struck the Ukrainian city of Sumy with long-range weapons on Tuesday morning, with four hits recorded and at least one person injured.
Russian forces shelled the Ukrainian city of Sumy early Tuesday morning using long-range weapons, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy regional administration, who reported the attack on Facebook.
According to Hryhorov, strikes hit four locations in the city's Kovpakivskyi district. Two of the hits struck private residential areas, while the other two hit civilian infrastructure facilities.
Casualties and aftermath
The regional administration said that, preliminarily, at least one person was injured. The victim is receiving necessary medical assistance.
Information about the type of weapon used, as well as the full extent of the consequences of the shelling, is still being clarified.
