A man was killed and a woman injured on Saturday when a UAV crashed onto a road in the town of Haivoron in Ukraine's Kirovohrad Oblast during an air raid, regional officials reported.
Andrii Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad Oblast Military Administration, said the man died as a direct result of the drone falling on the road, while the injured woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
Fire contained at crash site
Debris from the downed drone set dry grass alight at the site, but the resulting fire has since been brought under control, according to the report.
The incident occurred during an air raid, though further details on the broader scale of the attack or the cause of the drone's fall were not disclosed.
Kirovohrad Oblast, located in central Ukraine, has periodically come under Russian aerial and drone strikes since the start of the full-scale invasion, with civilian casualties reported in various incidents across the region.
