Man in China Hosts Wedding and Child's Party in Same Restaurant for Two Women, Ending in Police Call
In China's Guizhou province, a man held a wedding banquet with his new wife and his child's 100-day celebration with his ex-girlfriend in the same building at once. When the guests met, a brawl broke out and the restaurant called the police.

In Guizhou province in southwestern China, a man's plan to hold two different celebrations with two women on the same day and in the same building ended in a public scandal and police involvement, according to foreign media reports.
Two events in one restaurant
The man, named Wu, booked rooms on two floors of a restaurant popular with locals. One floor hosted the wedding banquet for him and his new wife, while the other floor marked his child's 100-day birthday. The child was born to his former girlfriend.
Restaurant staff and management initially had no idea about the arrangement, because the room rental contracts had been signed by the two women's families.
The plan falls apart in the lobby
The secret unravelled when guests from both celebrations unexpectedly met in the building's lobby. The situation escalated quickly, with a loud argument and fists flying, so restaurant staff had to call the police. Video of the brawl, filmed by eyewitnesses, spread across social media and reportedly drew millions of views.
Legal assessment
Unresolved financial disputes remain between the parties involved. However, local authorities concluded that Wu's actions do not legally amount to bigamy. He and his new wife had officially registered their marriage, whereas his relationship with the former girlfriend, despite their shared child, was never formalised.
