Jūrmala residents complain about oddly behaving smart traffic light

Residents of Jūrmala say a smart traffic light has been working strangely since it was installed. The matter was reported by the TV3 programme "Bez tabu".

In Jūrmala, a resort city near Riga, Latvia, residents are unhappy with a smart traffic light that was installed there. They complain that the device has operated strangely since its installation. The situation was reported by "Bez tabu", a programme on the commercial television channel TV3.

Smart traffic lights are traffic-control devices intended to adapt to road conditions. In this case, residents' observations suggest the light does not behave as expected.

The source report does not specify where in Jūrmala the traffic light is located, what exact problems have been observed, when it was installed, or whether the municipality or the installer has offered any explanation. These further details are not yet known.
