Jawa has introduced a new model, the 42 FJ, which stands out with its retro style and modern technology. The motorcycle is dedicated to the brand's founder František Janeček, with the initials FJ in its name referencing him.
The model is equipped with a 334 cc single-cylinder engine producing 29 hp (21.3 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine features liquid cooling, DOHC, four valves, and electronic fuel injection (EFI). The motorcycle has a top speed of 130 km/h and an average fuel consumption between 3.1 and 3.3 liters per 100 km, giving a theoretical range of up to 380 km.
The Jawa 42 FJ is designed to be suitable for both daily city riding and longer trips. It boasts comfortable ergonomics, a strong torque reserve, and modern equipment. The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with Assist & Slipper clutch, a double cradle frame, and disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
The front suspension is a telescopic fork, while the rear features twin shock absorbers with 5-step preload adjustment. The wheelbase is 1,440 mm, ground clearance is 178 mm, and seat height is 790 mm. The curb weight (ready to ride) is 184 kg. Equipment includes a digital instrument panel, LED headlight and taillight, LED turn signals, hazard light function, and an electric starter.
