Immigrant father detained by ICE at FIFA match warns other fans ahead of World Cup
A father of three who was seized by ICE at a FIFA match last summer warns immigrant fans of the risks of attending World Cup games in the United States.

A father of three, who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during a FIFA match last summer, is speaking out to caution other immigrant fans. The detention occurred at the same stadium where the upcoming World Cup final will be held. The man, who remains anonymous for safety reasons, shares his story in an exclusive report by France 24's Jessica Le Masurier, Yves Schaeffner, and Sarah Andersen.
He warns that immigrants attending World Cup games in the U.S. could face similar risks, especially if their immigration status is not in order. The family's identity has been withheld to ensure their protection.
