Residents complain: chosen a parcel locker near home, but the package ends up across town
Latvian residents are sharing online experiences of selecting a parcel locker close to home when ordering online, only to have the package delivered to a completely different location. This often happens because the chosen locker turns out to be full.

Online shopping is supposed to make receiving deliveries simple — customers pick the parcel locker most convenient for them, and a few days later just go pick up their package. However, according to accounts shared by residents, reality often looks different.
People have been describing on social media cases where, when placing an order, they chose a locker nearby — for instance, near their home or along their usual route to work — but the parcel ultimately ended up in a completely different part of the city. This causes inconvenience, since collecting the package requires traveling much farther than originally planned.
Why this happens
One of the most common reasons a parcel doesn't arrive at the chosen locker is that the specific locker turns out to be full. In such cases, courier companies redirect the shipment to another available locker, which may be located a considerable distance from the one originally selected.
Customers of various courier service providers can encounter this situation — in Latvia, parcel locker networks are operated by companies such as Unisend, Venipak, DPD and Omniva, whose lockers are frequently placed close to one another, for example near supermarkets and shopping centers.
Accounts shared by residents suggest this is not an isolated incident but a recurring issue, which people discuss online while looking for explanations and offering each other advice on what to do when a chosen locker is full.
