Humphries to meet Price in World Grand Prix final
Luke Humphries beat James Wade 5-3 to reach a fourth consecutive World Grand Prix final, where he will face Gerwyn Price on Sunday in Leicester.

World number two Luke Humphries has booked his place in the World Grand Prix final after defeating James Wade 5-3 in their semi-final. The 31-year-old Englishman averaged 96.92 and hit ten 180s, reaching the tournament's final for the fourth year running.
Humphries took the first set, but Wade hit back with an impressive 141 checkout to level the match. After trading two further sets, Humphries pulled ahead 4-2, and despite Wade clawing one set back, Humphries held firm in the eighth set to seal his win.
Having won the title in 2023 but lost his last two finals, Humphries said he was determined to lift the trophy again, noting that his record of reaching four straight finals would mean little without an eventual win.
Price sees off Aspinall
In the other semi-final, Welshman Gerwyn Price beat Nathan Aspinall 5-2. Price built an early three-set lead while Aspinall struggled to match the form he had shown in his quarter-final victory over Ryan Joyce. Aspinall briefly rallied with the match's best checkout of 132 to get on the scoreboard, and narrowed the gap to one set, but Price then closed out the remaining sets unanswered.
Price said afterwards he had been frustrated by Aspinall's interactions with the crowd, which was largely supporting his opponent. The final will be held on Sunday evening at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.
