Career background
Before returning to Coventry, Hamer spent the 2023-24 season in the Premier League with Sheffield United. During that spell, he made 123 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 29 assists.
Hamer is a former Netherlands youth international. Prior to his move to England, he played in the Dutch Eredivisie for both Feyenoord and PEC Zwolle.
