Hamer returns to Coventry City on long-term contract

Footballer Hamer has rejoined Coventry City, signing what has been described as a long-term contract with the club. He expressed appreciation for the warmth shown by supporters and promised to repay it through his performances on the pitch.

Hamer acknowledged that scoring or setting up a goal every match isn't realistic, but said he is committed to giving full effort in every game for the badge, the club and the fans.

Career background

Before returning to Coventry, Hamer spent the 2023-24 season in the Premier League with Sheffield United. During that spell, he made 123 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 29 assists.

Hamer is a former Netherlands youth international. Prior to his move to England, he played in the Dutch Eredivisie for both Feyenoord and PEC Zwolle.
