Google to end Safety Signal support on Pixel Watch by year's end
Google will discontinue its Safety Signal feature for the LTE versions of the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 by the end of 2026. All access will end on December 12.

Google has announced that it will stop supporting Safety Signal, a feature offered on some older Pixel Watch models, by the end of 2026.
The tool was built to bring core safety functions to the smartwatch through LTE connectivity. It included emergency SOS, fall detection and calls between emergency contacts, even for users who had no wireless plan for their wearable.
Who is affected
Safety Signal was available only on the LTE-enabled Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3. Support for the feature is being wound down on both models.
Timeline and transition
According to Google's own post, current Safety Signal users will receive email and push notifications giving advance notice of the change. Once the email is sent, a 30-day transition period begins, during which the features remain available. All access to Safety Signal will end on December 12.
What remains available
The same safety tools can still be used on these watches when they are on a Wi‑Fi network or paired to a smartphone over Bluetooth. They also work if the watch is connected to an active cellular line from a carrier.
