30-meter protective strip to be installed along Latvia's external land border – Saeima

The new protective strip will be established along the entire external land border of Latvia. It is a step to enhance border control and prevent illegal crossing attempts. The Saeima emphasized that these measures are necessary in the current security environment. The amendments will come into force after their promulgation.
