11 killed in civil aircraft crash in France
A German-registered civil aircraft crashed in France, killing 11 people: a pilot, five instructors, and five students.

According to Yves Seguy, prefect of the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, the crash claimed the lives of five instructors, five students, and the pilot. No one on the ground was injured.
The German-registered plane went down in a grassy area near the runway of Nancy-Essey airfield, close to a residential zone and two roads, AFP reported.
The cause of the accident remains unknown. Deputy prosecutor of Nancy, Amaury Lacote, stated that a technical investigation has been launched.
