Both Vidzeme-region clubs, Lekrings of Cēsis and Valmiera, picked up victories in Sunday's 'Elvi Floorball League' fixtures, strengthening their positions in the standings.

Lekrings won 7:3 away against Lielvārde/Unihoc, controlling the scoreline across all three periods. Kevins Šmits led the Cēsis side's offense with three goals and an assist, while Bruni Beķeris contributed two points. For the home side, Jānis Plots scored and added an assist.

Valmiera, meanwhile, needed overtime at home to beat Kurši 7:6 in a tightly contested match. The score was level after regulation, and the winning goal came just a minute into overtime, scored by Oskars Siliņš, who also recorded an assist in the game. Ričards Eglītis and Gvido Māziņš each scored twice for Valmiera, with Māziņš also adding an assist. The most productive player on the night was Gvido Griezītis, who finished with four points.

The results left the top of the table unchanged: Masters Ulbroka/LU remain the early-season leaders with 14 points from five games. Lekrings and Rubene both sit on 12 points, though from six and five matches respectively.

This season's regular competition will again consist of three rounds, with 108 matches in total. The eight strongest teams will advance to the playoffs, where quarterfinals and semifinals will be played as best-of-series to four wins. The champion and bronze medalist will be decided in the Superfinal, scheduled for April 17, 2027, in Riga.

Last season's champion was Cēsis' Lekrings, who defeated Masters Ulbroka/University of Latvia 5:3 in the final to claim their ninth Latvian men's floorball title.
