Riga to repair damaged pathways in Esplanāde park for €483,000

The Riga municipality has announced plans to begin work this year to improve pedestrian safety in Esplanāde park. The project will focus on the section of pathway with the most severely damaged surface, located between the Orthodox cathedral and Kalpaka Boulevard.
The aim of the works is to eliminate hazardous unevenness in the pathway surface, making it safer for pedestrians and other visitors to move through the park.
Funding
A total of €483,000 has been allocated for the pathway restoration works. The municipality expects the project to start this year, though a precise construction schedule and completion date have not yet been announced.
