EU adds another €30 million to Ukraine's Energy Support Fund, bringing total contribution to €279 million

The European Union has transferred a further €30 million into Ukraine's Energy Support Fund, raising its cumulative contribution to €279 million. The move follows recent contributions from Luxembourg and Denmark.

The European Union has made a new contribution of €30 million to Ukraine's Energy Support Fund, pushing its overall total input into the mechanism to €279 million.

The latest transfer comes shortly after other donors added their own contributions to the fund. Luxembourg recently made a payment into the mechanism, while Denmark contributed more than €10 million.

The Energy Support Fund was set up to help Ukraine repair and offset damage to its energy infrastructure caused by repeated Russian strikes. The fund pools financing from multiple donors, including EU institutions and individual member states, to help sustain Ukraine's ability to supply its population with electricity and heat.
