Duane 'Keffe D' Davis found guilty of murdering Tupac Shakur

A Las Vegas jury has found 63-year-old former gang leader Duane "Keffe D" Davis guilty of murdering rapper Tupac Shakur. The influential musician was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on 7 September 1996 and died several days later from his injuries.

Although the killing took place nearly three decades ago, prosecutors did not charge Davis until 2023, in a move that came as a surprise given how long the case had gone unresolved. He has since stood trial in Las Vegas, culminating in the guilty verdict.

Davis was charged with murder involving the use of a deadly weapon. He now faces a possible sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
