The celebrations began on September 24 with a civil ceremony at Montalcino's medieval town hall. The couple gave the date special meaning, as it marked the third anniversary of their first real date. The newlyweds arrived at the ceremony in a white vintage Lancia convertible, while a string arrangement of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" played during the proceedings. Only a close circle of family and friends attended, with Dove's best friend Veronica St. Clair serving as one of the witnesses signing the marriage documents.
Choice of officiant and further celebrations
The choice of officiant carried particular significance — Dove entrusted the role to director and choreographer Kenny Ortega, who had directed her in the first three Descendants films and has since become a close friend. The following day, celebrations continued in a vineyard, where guests were seated at one long table decorated in a gothic style during sunset. Damiano's side of the wedding included his Maneskin bandmates Victoria De Angelis, Ethan Torchio and Thomas Raggi.
Multiple outfits for the newlyweds
For the civil ceremony, Dove wore a Giorgio Armani pantsuit with a long, floor-length cape, while Damiano wore an ivory-colored suit. For the main ceremony, Cameron worked with designer Alessandro Michele and Valentino to create a flowing wedding gown, later changing into a sequined Roberto Cavalli mini dress for the evening. Damiano chose a classic three-piece Giorgio Armani suit and Bvlgari jewelry for the main ceremony.
Rumors about the couple's relationship began in September 2023, it was publicly confirmed in February 2024, and their engagement was announced in January 2026.
