Dienas Bizness Receives Recovery Fund Support for Digital Transformation
On 9 January 2025, the publisher Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support to modernise its media processes. The project covers digital solutions for the DIENAS BIZNESS newspaper and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI magazines.
The Latvian media company SIA “Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness”” signed an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency on 9 January 2025. The agreement provides support under the measure “Modernisation of media sector companies' processes”. The money comes from the Recovery Fund and will help the company develop its digital products.
The agreement number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004. The project aims to carry out the digital transformation of DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. It is meant to adapt the publications to modern media consumption habits and strengthen the interaction between digital and print media.
Expected results
The project sets two deadlines for its results.
By 30 June 2025, two digital solutions must be in place. These are customer relationship management systems, known as CRM.
By 30 June 2026, the company must introduce:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications, meaning apps for internet-connected televisions;
- expanded functionality of existing platforms, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
