The Central Election Commission has corrected the names and surnames of 15 candidates on the Saeima election lists, fixing typos, diacritical marks and compound surname spelling.

The Central Election Commission (CVK) has made corrections to the names and surnames of 15 candidates on the Saeima election lists. The adjustments concerned typos, diacritical marks, the order of names and surnames, and the use of hyphens in compound surnames.
In several cases, the names were brought in line with Latvian spelling conventions. For example, Andrejs Kinners was corrected to Andrejs Kinnars, Mihails Matinovs to Mihails Martinovs, Irina Jeremčuka to Irina Jaremčuka, Dainis Girupnieks to Dainis Gīrupnieks, and Ilva Lillmaa to Ilva Lillmā.
The name and surname of Karolīne Denisova were also adjusted to Karolīne Deņisova. Jevgenija Poloskova-Ignatenko’s first name was corrected to Jevgeņija, and Olega Vasula’s first name to Oļegs. In some entries, the order was fixed: Janberga Anna became Anna Janberga, and Čeporjus Edgars became Edgars Čeporjus.
Hyphenation in compound surnames was corrected for Ilze Kalniņa-Molotoka, Jaroslavs Zamazlovs-Kazikovs, Kristīne Vāgnere-Davidova, Liene Zamazlova-Kazikova and Villiams Kursītis-Vrobļevskis.
The commission noted that based on the available data it is impossible to determine whether the inaccuracies came from the information submitted by candidates and parties, or arose during the publication process.
