Budanov announces development of law on special status for frontline territories
Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced the creation of an interagency working group to urgently draft a comprehensive law on special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced the formation of an interagency working group to urgently develop a unified comprehensive law on special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories.
According to Budanov, temporary solutions in these areas are no longer effective. He noted that over six million citizens live in 10 regions along the frontline, facing daily enemy terror and hundreds of thousands of destroyed infrastructure objects.
Budanov emphasized that these people require maximum state attention in protecting energy facilities, addressing inequality in IDP payments, and providing security guarantees for medical workers, teachers, and utility staff who work under shelling.
He called on lawmakers and government officials to work swiftly to adopt new rules and special functioning conditions for these regions. Budanov added that people living near the frontline must receive full state support.
Meanwhile, the government has already introduced a new recovery program for enterprises damaged by shelling, offering loans at 0.1% for the first two years.
