Curious dog Mela learns a lesson after crab clamps onto her face on Brazilian beach
On a beach in Sao Luis, Brazil, a dog named Mela tried to get acquainted with a crab, which grabbed onto her face. The dog came out of the incident without serious injury.

A walk on the beach in the Brazilian city of Sao Luis ended with a painful lesson for one dog after curiosity led to an encounter with a sea creature.
Owner Andzela Falkai was strolling along the sandy shore with her dog, Mela. At some point the animal spotted a crab crawling across the sand and decided to take a closer look.
The crab, however, was not in a playful mood. When the dog's snout came very close, it latched onto Mela's face with a strong grip. Frightened and startled, the dog jumped into the air in shock and shook her head frantically.
It is not entirely clear whether Mela herself tried to grab the crab with her teeth or whether the crab made the first defensive move. Either way, the dog evidently realized quickly that this beach resident was not going to become her friend.
Fortunately, Mela is doing well after the incident. The rest of the walk passed without serious injuries.
