Bose brings back wired earbuds, this time with noise cancelling
Bose has launched new wired earbuds with active noise cancellation priced at $99. The earbuds are available for preorder now, with shipping starting in October.
Bose has introduced its new Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, which connect to devices via a 4.2-foot USB-C cable. The model uses Bose's QuietControl technology for noise cancellation.
Features
Each earbud houses two microphones that continuously monitor the surrounding environment depending on the selected setting — Quiet Mode, Aware Mode, or ANC Off. When connected to a compatible device, the earbuds also support lossless audio, offering higher sound quality than typical wireless models.
An in-line remote on the cable provides physical buttons for controlling volume, playback, calls, and switching between ANC modes, differing from the touch-based controls common on wireless earbuds. A dedicated microphone on the back of the remote is designed to pick up the user's voice while minimizing unwanted noise, such as fabric rubbing against it.
Durability and fit
The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating for moisture resistance and come with three sizes of silicone eartips and two sizes of wingtips for a customized fit.
The new earbuds are now available for preorder on Bose's website and at Best Buy for $99. They will come in Black, White Smoke, and a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint color. First shipments are expected in mid-October.
