The Los Angeles Clippers have reached an agreement with guard Bradley Beal on a new contract, according to Shams Charania. The deal is for two seasons and worth $13.2 million. Beal will have a player option after the first year to decide whether to stay for a second season.

Beal entered free agency this summer and weighed several options. Among them was a potential move to the Miami Heat, where he would have joined Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ultimately, he chose to return to Los Angeles.

The guard initially joined the Clippers during last offseason, signing a two-year, $11 million deal after agreeing to a buyout with the Phoenix Suns. He declined his player option this summer but has now agreed to come back.

Beal played just six games last season, averaging 8.2 points per contest. His best statistical season came in 2020-21, when he averaged 31.3 points. A three-time NBA All-Star, Beal spent most of the season recovering from hip surgery. By rejecting his $5.6 million player option, he also gave the Clippers extra salary-cap flexibility to pursue other moves before finalizing his return.
