Belgium pledges 10 F-16 jets to Ukraine by year-end
Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever announced that Belgium is expanding its F-16 fighter jet commitment to Ukraine and will send 10 aircraft by the end of the year. The planned number has tripled.

Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has announced an expanded military commitment to Ukraine: Belgium intends to send 10 F-16 fighter jets by the end of this year. He made the announcement during talks in Brussels with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Euromaidan Press, Belgium has tripled the number of aircraft it had previously planned to deliver.
Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian attacks, is asking its partners for more aircraft and ammunition. The Belgian pledge is one response to that request.
The available information does not say when exactly the jets will be handed over or what other agreements were reached during the talks.
