Wind rips off large part of roof from Bebrene Catholic Church

In Bebrene parish, Augšdaugava municipality, strong winds have caused significant damage to the local Catholic church. About two-thirds of the roof of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church was torn off by the storm.

Pēteris Dzalbe, the executive director of Augšdaugava municipality, confirmed the damage. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and planning possible restoration work.
