Latvia's national basketball team wraps up a week-long training camp and travels to Ljubljana on Tuesday, where it will play its first warm-up match ahead of the FIBA World Cup qualification games.

Injuries continue to trouble the squad, as two more players were sidelined during the camp, adding to the list of players already unable to train or compete at full capacity.

Beruē to miss the squad

It has also been confirmed that Benjamins Janis Beruē, recently named the most valuable player of the U-16 European Championship, will not join the national team. His absence means the coaching staff will have to prepare for the upcoming matches without one of the country's most promising young talents.

The results of the training camp will be put to the test in the upcoming fixtures, starting with the match in Ljubljana, which will serve as the first real benchmark before the continuation of the World Cup qualification campaign.
