Thousands evacuated as Bangkok battles severe flooding

The flooding has forced thousands of people from their homes into temporary shelters, as authorities continue to monitor water levels in the most vulnerable parts of the city.
Death toll
According to officials, at least eight people have died over the past ten days as a result of the flooding and its consequences. The heavy rains have caused significant disruption to daily life and infrastructure throughout the capital.
Although weather conditions are gradually improving, several areas of Bangkok remain seriously affected, and authorities are continuing evacuation and relief efforts for those impacted.
