Latvian singer Atvara has released a new song titled “Pa Rīgas ielām” (“Through the Streets of Riga”), carrying an autumnal, nostalgic tone. The song explores the conflicting feeling of trying to move forward while still mentally returning to a loved one and shared memories, and how familiar places in a city can suddenly take on new, personal meaning once tied to specific recollections.

Musician Roberts Memmēns contributed to the track's sound, adding his own musical perspective. Atvara says it matters to her that every song carries its own distinct feeling and story, and she hopes listeners will recognize part of their own experiences in this one.

Christmas concert tour

Alongside the new single, Atvara announced a Christmas concert tour taking her to four Latvian cities at the end of the year: December 2 at the Liepāja Theatre, December 5 at Jelgava Palace, December 22 at the VEF Culture Palace in Riga, and December 29 at the Valmiera concert hall. The programme will combine her already-known songs with new arrangements created for the holiday season. Tickets are already available through Biļešu Paradīze.

The singer says the Christmas season has always felt special to her, as a time to pause and be with loved ones, and that she wants the concerts to create a warm, emotional atmosphere.

About Atvara

Atvara first gained wider recognition on TikTok, which she used to connect with listeners after spending several years writing songs for other artists behind the scenes. Her 2024 debut single “Pie manis tveries” reached millions of plays and was featured in the TV series “Nelūgtie viesi”. Over the past year she has released a debut album, received two music award nominations, performed more than 30 sold-out concerts, and in 2026 won “Supernova”, becoming Latvia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Ēnā”.
